The head coach of Jirapa Steel Benders FC (JSB FC), Ament Ang-guyiri Nyoler, has resigned from his position as head coach of the club. The club confirmed today, December 27, 2025.
In a statement, Nyolee, affectionately known as Coach Jacole, said, “I wish to thank each and every person who might have supported me during my stay with JSB as the head coach. I have chosen to resign from my position from today. I wish the entire team well.” He said.
Nyolee’s resignation comes amid a challenging period for the club. He leaves a significant legacy, having made history by guiding the team directly to the Middle League during their maiden campaign in the 2024/2025 Upper West Regional Division II League. That achievement cemented his early popularity and raised expectations significantly.
However, the team’s subsequent performance in the Middle League was described as “abysmal.” The current 2025/2026 season has seen mixed results, with JSB FC recording 2 wins, 1 loss, and 4 draws in their first seven matches under his leadership.
This inconsistent form had recently sparked vocal criticism from a section of the club’s supporters, who accused the coach of poor performance and publicly called for his dismissal. While the exact reasons for Nyolee’s decision are not formally confirmed, it follows a period of intense pressure from these fan groups.
The club’s management has not yet announced plans for an interim replacement or the process for selecting a new head coach. The departure raises immediate questions about the team’s direction and stability as they continue the ongoing league season.
