ACCRA, Ghana – The Greater Accra Regional Police Command has arrested two individuals in connection with a case of unlawful damage following a fire at an apartment in the Oyarifa Anointed Down area.
The suspects have been identified as Jennifer Mae Tomlinson, a Canadian national, and Mohammed Issah, a Ghanaian. According to a police statement, the two were tenants of the property allegedly involved in an incident on December 23, 2025.
Preliminary police investigations indicate the apartment was intentionally set ablaze, resulting in its complete destruction. Authorities state the act appeared to be unprovoked.
Mohammed Issah was apprehended by the Ayimensah Abokobi Police on December 23, the day of the incident. Jennifer Mae Tomlinson was subsequently arrested from a separate location on December 25.
Both suspects remain in police custody assisting with the ongoing investigation. They are pending arraignment before the court to face formal charges.
The case continues to be handled by the Greater Accra Regional Police Command.
