A recent survey by Pulse Ghana has revealed the jobs that frustrate Ghanaians the most, from politicians making empty promises to rent agents who disappear with your cash.
From daily errands to important services, the top 10 professions that regularly test the patience of Ghanaians include:
10. Nurses: Though essential, some nurses have a reputation for being unfriendly or impatient. Many patients report getting eye rolls or harsh tones when asking for help, often attributed to stressful work conditions.

9. Receptionists: Instead of being a welcoming face, some receptionists are dismissive, unfriendly, or act like they are doing you a favour by helping you, adding attitude to simple requests.

8. Trotro Mates: Dealing with chaotic traffic is hard enough, but mates annoy passengers with sudden fare increases, rude replies, and giving torn notes as change.

7. Sales Agents: Whether selling insurance or products, these agents are known for never giving up. Their endless calls, door-to-door visits, and high-pressure tactics to sell things you don't want are a major nuisance.

6. Police Officers: Often criticised for corruption and harassment. Many report facing rude attitudes and being asked for "something small" (bribes) for basic assistance or at checkpoints.

5. Lawyers: Seen as defenders of justice, some lawyers frustrate people by using complex legal language to complicate simple matters. Others are viewed as using tricks to help the guilty while making life hard for the innocent.

4. Journalists: While their job's core mandate is to inform, educate and entertain, some are accused of being biased, sensational, or annoying. Twisting stories for headlines also frustrates the public.

3. Politicians: To many, politicians are the kings of empty promises, only appearing when they need votes. Their lack of accountability and constant excuses land them high on this list.

2. Bank Tellers: A trip to the bank is often a test of patience. Long lines, slow service, and sometimes a dismissive or rude attitude turn simple transactions into an ordeal.

1. Rent Agents: Taking the number one spot, they are famous for making the stressful hunt for a house even worse. Complaints include overcharging, giving false information, charging extra "fees", and even disappearing after taking money.
The report highlights that "every profession has its good and bad workers, but these ten jobs have the highest number of workers who regularly frustrate Ghanaians, based on random responses. Whether due to job stress, poor working conditions or personal attitudes, these professionals often leave a lasting impression" .
Do you agree with this list? Is the frustration caused by the workers themselves, or is it the result of stressful systems and poor conditions? Who would you add or remove? Share your experiences and thoughts in the comments below.
