The Upper West Regional minister, Hon. Charles Lwanga Puozuing Esq has urge local farmers and traders to prioritize the Sheapark Resource Hub a center of excellence.
The Hon. Minister made this call during the launching of the Sheapark Resource Hub on Saturday January 31, 2026.
Hon. Puozuing noted that the project will provide local farmers and traders with access to modern technology, specialized training, and better markets, directly improving livelihoods and fueling national economy, urging locals to take ownership.
"People of our beloved region this is our project, I urge that we patronize it, own it, and help us make it a center of excellence." He stated
"This hub is not the destination, it is just the beginning of a new era of commercial farming, agro-processing and eco-tourism in our region." He added.
The minister further, caution local authorities, cooperate bodies and institutions to move from been spectators of development to becoming the architects of our own future.
He explained the landmark initiative as a game changer designed to transform the nation's shea industry into global world. "This landmark initiative is more than just a facility, it is a game-changer designed to transform the shea industry across Ghana" He stated.
The initiative aim to process shea into finished products such as food items, cosmetics, ointments among others for both domestic use and export.

The project is expected to create jobs, increase incomes and strengthen local industries through government, traditional authorities, private investors, cooperatives and development partnership.
